Adelard Mugabe is a dancer, instructor, and performer who started dancing in Gisenyi, Rwanda at the age of 11.
Adelard’s dance style ‘Animation’ combines Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Storytelling, and Popping.
In 2018, he was Best Dancer at the Artwanda Ubuhanzi Dance Competition, taking place throughout Rwanda.

Adelard joined a group of friends with a vision of developing a new dance scene in Rwanda.
Adelard dance style combined different techniques like hip-hop, contemporary dance, storytelling and popping to create his own proper style he named ‘animation’.
He continues working with the IMBUTO FOUNDATION where he has been provided with a space to work and create freely.
