Francis Kyeyune

Francis Kyeyune is a dance artist born in Kampala Uganda. He practices Jazz, contemporary and mainly Ugandan traditional dances.
Francis has worked with 28 traditional dance troupes such as Nyange traditional dancers, Bitone children's centre, Sosolye dance academy, Nile Beat Jinja in Uganda and Ndere Cultural troupe and has mastered 25 Ugandan traditional dances.
This opened performance opportunities internationally and locally such as Ibel festival Iraq 2012, IEAT festival Ethiopia 2008, Umoja flying carpet East Africa 2012 & 2013 and Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Uganda 2007.
Francis was awarded best male dance artist Makerere University performing arts department 2013 and best dancer at Ibel festival Iraq 2012.
He received a full scholarship and attained a bachelor's degree of arts and a diploma in music dance and drama at Makerere university were his talent was nurtured by dance professionals such as Professor Jill Pribyl, Dr Eric Jjemba, Dr. Milton Wabyona, associate lecturers Professor Ann Kristine, David Bya from Norway and Dr Deborah from USA.
Kyeyune is currently a member of the long-established musical company Afrigo band and dance teacher at Nicolette primary school, Rainbow house of hope.
