Catherine Mkude a professional dancer, choreographer and teacher from Tanzania. She is member of the Waka Waka and Girls power dance companies based in Dar es Salaam. She has worked as a dance artist for several international choreographers such as Maura Morales (Cuba), Ian Mwaisunga and Robert Ngoroma (Tanzania), Yolanda Guiterrez (Germany), Soraya Thomas (Reunion/France), Vanessa Tamburi (Italy) and CAN Creative (South Africa).

She has also performed at the Haba na Haba International dance festival (Dar es Salaam), the annual festival at the University of Dar es Salaam, the Sauti za Busara music festival (Zanzibar, Tanzania), the Asphalt festival (Dusseldorf, Germany) and the Tanz Moderne Tanz festival (Chemnitz, Germany). After graduating from the Muda Africa dance school, she was invited back to take part in the choreographic workshops given by Moise Toure and Francis Viet.

Her first contemporary dance solo created in 2023 was selected to perform at the UN’s LDC5 conference in Doha, Qatar in March 2023.
