ELVIS ELASU also known as “Levy” is a multifaceted artist who finds his strength in choreographing dance theatres, popping dance, and fusion of various urban dance techniques with Ugandan Traditional Dances.

Levy started his dance career 12 years ago and is the Founder and director of Street Dance Force crew based in Jinja, Uganda. A Popping dance Judge at “Break-Fast Jam” East Africa’s biggest annual Break-dance event and at “Skills East Africa” annual Battles, Levy has grown his skills through the Bayimba youth and Hip hop workshops, BATALO East’s monthly Equations, Batalo East Academy, and under mentorship of Abdul Kinyenya as a choreographer.

He has won numerous awards with his crew such as the Eastern Uganda’s best Dance Crew at Eastern Teens Awards 2012, 2013 & 2014 consecutively and Popping dance champion at POP LOCK FUNK 2018 at Uganda National Theatre. Levy has also choreographed various dance theatres such as LIFE AFTER DEATH-2014, JOURNEY OF A STREET CHILD-2017, JAJJA DUNGU- 2020, SIKIA performed by the DEAF- 2021 and SSUKAALI a bride wealth which was crowned the best storytelling dance piece at Batalo East Festival -2019.

When not glued to the dance floor, he spends time painting, beatboxing and mentoring young people around the community especially around Eastern Uganda.
