I work as a freelance dance artist and dance teacher in contemporary, traditional and urban dance forms. After studying at the Mama Africa circus, I completed a 3-year professional training at Muda Africa in 2022.

I then co-founded the DadaZ dance group with Rabia Ngwache. We created and performed our first duo entitled ‘Without you” in 2021. It premiered at the Haba na Haba dance festival in Dar es Salaam (July 2021) and was selected to become a dance film in the online Dansi Tena project funded by the Goethe Institut (August 2021) It was also performed at the Tasuba festival in Bagamoyo ( November 2022) and at the Little Theatre in Dar es Salaam on Women’s Day (March 2022).

I have been selected to work with several Tanzanian and international choreographers such as Ian Mwaisunga & Robert Ngoroma (Tanzania), Johnny Autin (France), Vanessa Tamburi (Italy), Matthieu Nieto & Sanna Cleva (France/Finland), Marcel Leeman & Nicolas Streit (Switzerland) and Estel Lopez (Spain).

I enjoy working in both stage and street performances as well as touring schools with dance performances which address gender equality issues.
