Manzi Mbaya is a dancer, choreographer and creative director from Kigali, Rwanda. He is also the Founder and Creative Director of The Journey Space, a multimedia studio that has been producing podcasts and video content since 2020.

Manzi has been a professional dance artist for over 10 years. His dance styles include Afrobeats, Afrohouse, HipHop, urban, contemporary and traditional. He has performed at major festivals such as EANT in Rwanda, Batalo East in Uganda, Geothe Institut Rwanda and Ubumuntu Arts festival in Rwanda. Manzi also took part in a residency at Nafasi Art Space in Tanzania.

In 2020, he did the dance choreography in the feature film “Neptune Frost” directed by US artist Saul Williams.  Other clients include Amizero Dance company, Girl Effect, Bank of Kigali and UNICEF Rwanda. Manzi also taught dance in over 10 schools in Rwanda as part of the dance awareness project organized by Amizero dance company and Orpas Roppa.
